Lazy starting 454.
 

I have a 454 carb 330hp TB V ignition in my Velocity 22. After reading a few posts on here I'm wondering if there is something up with my coil. When I first start it up in the morning it catches on a few cylinders, but doesn't start. A second crank of the motor will get it going and it will idle ok. After idling through the 1/4 mile no wake zone when I run the motor up it sounds like it has a random misfire for 10-15 seconds. After that initial issue it will run fine the rest of the day. The choke is opening up fine and it will sit and idle all day without loading up so I don't feel that it is a carb problem ( it is going to be cleaned this weekend though.) Fresh fuel filter and ethanol free gas. Less than 250hrs on the motor.

Condition of plugs, wires and Cap? Any one will create an obvious miss

All new beginning of this season, base timing is set correctly.
