I don’t understand (I am not a mechanic by any means) if something was wrong wouldn’t there some indication? The motor starts and idles perfect, doesn’t skip, good oil pressure, no abnormal noises??? |

If you are going to run it without the valve covers get yourself a set of cheap stock stamped steel covers and cut the center out of them and install these. It will save you a ton of cleanup time and mess. Probably can get a set for a few bucks at the junk/pick-n-pull yard.
