New vs older style k planes

Hey guys, i have a set of 280 k planes and theres some corrosion where the indicator cable runs through the back plate and the pins are seized. I saw a pair of new backplates for sale and wondered if they will still fit the older 280 tabs? I have to get pins anyways.
