Default blown injector driver in ecm

i have a 2004 22ft stingray boat 4.3 mercruiser with throttle body injection.the initial problem was, no power to fuel pump, after going through system we realized it was an ECM problem. We sent it to OBD diagnostic and they told me they could not reboot it or get it to work.i bought a new one and when we took the boat out only one injector was working. After diagnosing it we realized the starboard injector was bad. i replaced both of them and the starboard still was not firing, the driver in the new ECM was bad. I sent it back to OBD n they repaired it, iput it back in boat and took it out .It ran great for half of a day and then the starboard injector was not firing again.Again i sent the ECM out for repair. The guys at OBD said the injector driver was fried and my new injectors must have caused this they repaired the Ecm and i got new injectors. I checked them with ohmeter and they read 2 ohms.i saw a small nick in injector wire and soldered a new one in . I took the boat out and it ran great for an hour and now the same thing happened again im running out of options, i dont know what could be causing this to happen or if the ECM is no good. aaaany help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Are you buying your injectors from ebay?
If so, this could be why the ECM driver is burning out. Many of the injectors on ebay are just old used injectors which were tossed out

What is the motor serial number?

A 2 ohm injector seems a bit low, where did this figure come from and what meter you using?

Looks like the manual says to measure the injectors and should be greater then 1 ohm.

Its not blowing the 10 amp fuse, so I would assume its not drawing more current. So maybe the issue is something else inside the ECM that is causing it to burn out the driver.

How is the voltage coming from the alternator when running?

the engine # is M077642 throttle body injection. The ECM # is Delphi 16236999, they’re hard to find I paid 1800.00$ for it, n 360.00 to have it repaired the second time. I checked the injectors with a standard ohmmeter. The injectors were also very hard to find I got them from motorman on eBay reconditioned in Minnesota

Im going to have to look for a new ECM either way and hope that was the problem I was told it was new but I don’t know, when I first installed ECM the injector was not working from the start OBD said it was tested before they sent it but I don’t know they repaired it the first under warranty but the second time they told me it was the injectors or something on boat csusing this to happen and I paid for repair if anyone has a lead on this ECM please let me know

Mercruiser in 2004 did not have TBI nor used MEFI ecms period. So is tyour app stock and a older Merc engine ? or is it NON oem set up ?

They used MPI and ecm 555 Motorola / Mototron from 2002 / 2003 and up.

90 % of ecm failure is caused by something on the engine side and or battery side and or cabling side and wiring side. Or was self inflicted by a person - ie : jump box starting - jumper cables - charging and so on, wrong installs - many are caused because do not know how to properly install stereo equipment in marine apps. . ECMs do not failure most of the time just by themselves something caused that failure.

Many can vouch how I know this to be 100 percent fact per my statements. .

Your serial number checks out as TBI at BAM and Mercury Marine web sites
https://www.mercruiserparts.com/4-3l...62-v-6-0l61900

Injectors can be found using Merc kit number 852956A1, or individual numbers for VP 3858941 and Mallory 9-33106

Hardin Marine sell them as well as others.
https://www.hardin-marine.com/p-23259-tbi-injector.aspx

As on this site in the wanted section about your MEFI, I bought one as a spare some time back incase I need one. Might be able to find another

I have the tbi s all brand new for 150 to 175 for the marine end.. . I make them myself and sub out the laser welding.

And the serial number runs is not for 2004. year model Mercruiser. OL is for like 1996 .

Ill say it again 2004 engine year models did not have nor use TBI injection OEM stock for Mercruiser nor Volvo

The hardin s TBI s are from Sierra - and all of Sierra stuff comes China or Mexico Just saying
