You should be money ahead taking it to a speed shop in the long run. Good move.
When I did my cam I measured all of the spring heights, found the shortest one, and then called Comp Cams for their recommendations then shimmed up all the rest to match. It definitely took some time and patience and not anything I’m in a hurry to do again. Lol
