Electric fuel pump?
Hi, I just burnt out my carter p4070 electric fuel pump when I got to the last 5 gallons in the tank.
does anybody have a recommendation for a fuel pump to pull fuel from my tank, through the separator then to the carb. i cannot place below tank because the tank is sealed below the floor boards. any advice is greatly appreciated. Almost considering the mechanical version....... don’t need issues in the ocean. thanks, -Randy |
I have been running the std Holley blue pumps just like that for 5-6 years now...
|
carter again - there is one not painted / coated and there is one that is.
I would have to check the numbers cause I have them in stock and they are not 4070 models. Many repower non OEM engines and indmar and marine power use these pumps |

Some people would pull through a 100 micron stainless pre filter then push through something like this before the carb, https://www.fstperformance.com/

USCG or any boat inspection on the water ways would tow you in with that plastic bowl on the facet fuel pump plus either fine you or warning ticket about that pump. . That is not legal for any enclose engine compartments period.
it only pumps 33 gallons per hour. |
I would wonder if his app for an Weldon is like way over kill since he had a carter. And the price of the Weldon for some would never be considered. Keep in mind there is only one Weldon pump that is USCG approved as well. But many use Jim pumps including myself.
