Which trim Tabs to go with?
Hey everyone, want to upgrade from my Bennett tabs this year. Ive Been looking at different trim tabs including Mercury Racing, livorsi, Mayfair and Eddie Marine. I know Merc 280 k planes are the most popular. Curious to hear opinions and experience with different brand tabs. My boat is a Formula 292 Fastech and I'm on Lake Michigan. Thanks!

I'd go with 280's. After owning 280's and 380's, I have Lenco electric tabs on my current boat. I wasn't sure if they were going to cut it, but they work well. The salesman talked me out of the 280's. This is on a CC though, on a sport boat, I'd go with k-planes.

I have Dana 1000s on my Velocity VR 1. 29 ft. I really like them and no problems. At 24 inches they are sized between the Merc 280 and 380.

I would go with 280 Kplanes. You can find decent complete used kits sometimes.

size does matter -- don't listen to the women out on the water haha
TABS of course |
If you decide you go large, have some Lathams that are pretty much identical to 380s, except they are billet and not cast. I'll give you a good deal, if thats the route you want to go.
