What Marine Design Software for Hull modeling is anybody using and why that particular software? Any suggestions? Thanks

Check out fusion 360, its made by autodesk. I'm a machinist, I design parts with it but I don't use many of the simulations\ testing potions it has. It defiantly has some different flow analytics, you may find what you want and the software is free.

hello,,,,i am cad designer,,,a ''jobbie'' as we are called in detroit area.
the two main cad systems , currently, would be siemens NX and Catia.
there other smaller, less money systems,,,autocad,,,solid works,,,,etc..etc..
alias is used by gm in its studio groups, strictly doing surface work

I used Rhino Marine in college for some hydrostatic modeling(waterline, righting moment curve). Looks to be replaced by Orca3D now. I made the 3D model with Solidworks and imported it to Rhino Marine. I suppose you could use any 3D modeling software you like.
