Crank trigger seemed like a paint in the a$$ to move pullies and install on my set up, more expensive too.
Dual sync way easier. Unless you`re going over 7,000 rpm dual sync will work just fine. |
I didn`t like that option, still more expensive and unnecessary imop.

ive been running the hp with a dual sync dist and daytona sensors cdi box for a while now theres documentation out there for it, dosent matter if its a dominator a hp or terminator its all the same setup.
What you're doing is running a single coil but the CD-1 is firing your ignition using the points output. The HP and Dominator cannot fire a stand-alone coil unless you use a CD ignition OR you have to run a Sniper ignition module. |

what crank trigger you run that clears the lower alt mount?
been thinking of swapping over to a crank trigger from my distributors |

Sweet setup!
I jumped the shark a month ago and bought dual sync and coil near plug setups. It wasn't the least expensive way to go, but I believe it was the right way to go. |

Thanks! Carbureted it made 960hp and with this stetup it made 975hp out of the gate. I ran a smaller upper pulley to get the boost up and it made just under 1000 hp at 6psi. With a bigger blower it could have done a lot more.

You don`t need an additional box to run coils.
HP and Dual sync is all thats needed.(and a couple subharnesses)

What you're writing is exactly what I'm talking about and they don't have documentation on it. There's no documentation out there on firing a single ignition coil NOT using a CD box and controlling the timing through the ECU.
DId you figure this out how to fire a single coil without the box? This is the answer to the question I had a few pages ago. .

Even if I am not running coil over? Just single coil using the distributor to supply spark.
