It sat through the winter with half a tank in it put some treatment in it when I got it. We got the fuel pump assembly off luckily without pulling the engine wasn’t in a very great spot to get to haven’t found any restrictions gonna try and replace the pressure regulator and go ahead and replace the fuel pump just cause it’s all out and don’t wanna have to try and pull it all out again any time soon. If I can find a pump for it apparently they don’t make them anymore for that motor. Hopefully that’s the problem

You can still find the pump just search for Mercruiser 861156A1
When Airtex starts making more they use number E11004

Reg is 861126A1 Cool Fuel Gen 2 (43 psi) Mallory 9-33206

Pump and regulator ordered hopefully that’s the problem. Will give update whenever we get it back together and take it out for a test run

Many times too high fuel psi is caused by screen #16 plugged with crap.

Update just like five minutes ago got done putting new fuel pump and pressure regulator in psi is right where it should be now hopefully when I take it out tomorrow and put it under a load it will be good to go

Well crap put it under a load and it isn’t back firing anymore and it’s running smoother but still won’t get up one plane so back to the drawing board buy a boat they said it’ll be fun they said

Suggest spark testing, you may not be running on all 8. Look at the plugs and see if they are all close to the same

Just checked the timing and it was way off got it adjusted and spot on now bout to take it out and hope it runs like it should
