OMC to Merc??

I have a buddy that has a 351 ford with a OMC outdrive. He wantes to put a Merc 454 in place of the 351.

Can You do this??

What would it take??

Sure can, needs an OMC/Chevy bellhousing and Chevy front motor mounts. Of course he needs a new exhaust system, a Chevy drive shaft coupler (Cobra) and powersteering pump bracket. If he wants to remove the Cobra drive and install a Mercruiser drive the hole in the transom is the same size.
