Default Merc motor plates... hose routing.

Happy Birthday America!

I found that the inlet hose to my sea pump was split and leaking right at the edge on the pump’s fitting. This is the second time in a year this has happened. When taking it apart last night to trim back the hose, it dawned on me that maybe the touring isn’t correct. Should the inlet hose go through the motor plate or should it come up from the bottom? I routed it through the plate but it really seems to be in a bind.

It’s also possible that the hose is just old and needs replacement, but thought I’d ask. I haven’t been able to find any pics.

Default

Checked the other engine... I have it routed correctly. I’m probably in need of replacing some hoses during the off-season.
