When you change out the fuel pump, check the fuel filters b/c if it sat for a few years, adding fresh gas/treatment and sloshing the fuel tank around running the boat can loosen whatever settled and formed on the bottom of the tank. Even if your glass bowl looks decent, I have seen it where the micron filter at the carb is taking the brunt...just something to keep an eye on if the pump swap doesn't resolve all the gremlin

Bought the new fuel pump today. Gave them my boat engine serial number and got the OEM part for it. It’s different than the one I have on there now tho. On the fuel pump that’s on there now, the fuel line to the carb is on the left and the line from the gas tank to the fuel pump is on the right. On my new one, both connections on the fuel pump are on the left.
should I just buy a longer hose to reach from the fuel tank to the pump, or what’s the move?
