New steering head needed when switching to dual cylinders?
I have Kaama drives and recently picked up a Kaama dual cylinder steering setup. I have a single cylinder steering now, and my original thought was to simply criss-cross supply lines to the second cylinder and have them 'neutralize' any pressure differences in the lines.
In looking through the forums, I see people asking if someone's hydraulic steering helm is a 'single or dual' cylinder setup. I knew there was a difference, but is it necessary? Will my dual cylinder steering work as I originally thought (criss-cross supplies) and what are the limitations if any, or does it require also changing the helm? (I really don't want to buy a new helm) |
