Question on 500HP engine serial number
Where is the engine serial number on a 500HP carb engine? I have 1999 and there is no tag on the right side rear of the block where they put them. Does the HP engines have them in a different location? The engine has never been opened up. Any help would be appreciated.

I rebuild a pair of 500 EFI's and found the serial # just above where the water pump
bolts on, right side as you look at the engine
