Sunpad repair, how?
My newly bought 2006 Baja 245 Boss is cosmetically in good shape, except the rear of the sunpad over the engine. The rear part has been "sandpapered" by the cover, so especially the blue pattern is starting to disappear. I'm getting the cover replaced to fix it for the future, but what do I do to try to repair the damage done? Can I paint/dye/whatever the blue so it gets proper blue again? If not, a local upholstery guy may be able to replace it, but where do I get proper material to replace, what is that material called?
Thanks https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...a3517f27cf.jpg |
Not sure where you live, but there is a company called Creative Colors that repairs interiors on cars and trucks. They have the ability to dye areas that are damaged. It probably would not be a permanent fix but will get you by for a while. Check with at local bodyshop in your area and ask them who they use to repair damaged interior trim. Hope this helps,
