removing a 12" ext box

i have a 1998 25 active thunder w/ 500hp and a stellings 12" ext box. the boat porposis bad, i was told the 25 thunder does not need a ext box to short of boat. my question what to do to remove the box. i have ext steering. any help would be great.
also will be selling the box cheap.

is it a nuetral box or does it raise your w dim??? I might be interested.

Stelling has 3 holes to use - plus 1, neutral, and minus 1 - all with the motor in the stock location.

Somebody once told me that you can raise the motor an inch and then use the plus 1 holes tfor a total of plus 2. You can't go higher than that using a Stellings without plugging the transom. Again, this is what I have HEARD, no experience with them.
