95 502 Mag Mpi elbow & riser gaskets
 

Most likely a stupid question but, here goes.
Stock exhaust manifolds, risers & elbows. Took everything apart, has two different type of gaskets. One type has 4 equal oval openings which match the manifolds, elbows & risers. Other type has two oval holes & two small restricted holes in place of the ovals. Which would be preferred/correct? Thank.

Well, after using the search function I found a thread from 2015 asking this exact question. It answered my question fully.

Open cooling:

One with 2 little holes is always placed against riser.

If spacer block is used between manifold top and riser, the 4 large oblong hole one is placed on manifold, and again, one with 2 small holes just under the riser.(top of spacer)
