What kind of raw water pump is this?
Entire pump appears to be made of brass. All main parts are slightly magnetic. It uses stainless wear plates on both sides of impeller. Plate closest to pulley is the same as the plate that comes with Merc part number 47-59362 T6. The plate closest to hose nipples is different. No groves for o-rings found anywhere. Maybe it supposed to use gaskets?
Guy at marine store thought they might be made by Hardin or maybe Johnson??https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...ed93eeed39.jpg |
Maybe Jabsco? I think they are bronze.

If it's a bronze Jabsco, the model number will be stamped on the end plate

could also be an early mercruiser pump. early ones were three piece like this one.

Got the pumps installed now so hard to see. Don't remember seeing any manuf ID on them.
The early Merc version looks real close except mine has 3 long bolts and 2 shorter bolts holding it together. The 3 longer bolts also provide attachment to the mounting bracket.. The parts breakdown only shows 1 length for the bolts. Mounting bracket looks different too. |
Not much help but looks like the earlier on trs/merc pump.

I had one that I think was just like yours. I just bolted the 1 piece plastic Merc housing on it and it worked fine
|
Thx guys. I've never installed any gaskets when replacing impellers and don't think it ever leaked and if it did, it wasn't very much. I'll try some of the early model Merc gaskets next time.

It uses the paper gaskets. I also just use the 1pc plastic housing on them also. Teague sells the replacement kit.
