Tall deck exhaust issues

I'm in the process of putting a tall deck dart big m with afr heads in my 28 pantera. One of the issues I'm not certain how to get by is my cmi etop tailpipes are about .5 to .75 inches higher than the through hull. Looking for some thoughts or what others have done. I thought about trimming the through hull to get more flex out of the rubber or raise the through hull

I would send them to CMI and have them modify them. I had mine done a while back.

If you raise the thru hulls you may need to make a plate for the outside to be sure they seal. I raised mine 2". So a little extreme compared to yours. But you get the idea.

Those plates look pretty good and for sure much easier than filling and cutting new holes. Nice job.

Id rather fix the tail pipe than mess with the transom, friend of mine could do it pm me if you want his contact info.

Did u try simply rotating the tail to header? I know the pre molded jumper rubber wont fit from header to tail. But if it fits your transom then use bulk hose to jump from left header to right tail and vice versa. I have done it it past when useing raised exhaust port heads and tall decks in padt

If you could find something like this in the right size, might work: https://hpsperformanceproducts.com/p...se-htsoc400blk

I did try that on the starboard side mot port due to the header and tail being stuck together may as well have been welded together. The port may have worked it was off to the left a bit not vertically off
