FWIW, I've ran across this bottom note in the Eagle crank catalog recently.
Other than that I have no experience to shed on your situation. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...69c5ae9e95.png |

Hi
I took my flywheel off last night. It does look like external balance. https://ibb.co/N9t5fpM Last night I also ordered the external balanced 153t flywheel which TomZ suggested. Part number 14088650. mit does say that it is for 5.0l and 5.7l so it should work from a balancing perspective I believe. A mini starter motor I ordered as well, so that should work too. Internal balancing is not an option yet due to the complexity of the internal balancing procedure. I hope it does work with the external balanced 153t flywheel. @cheech - Finding a 454 Mark 4 engine block in Europe was a mission. Finding a good one was impossible for 6 months. The old one was cracked. |
Good luck getting it back together! Glad we could help.

Cheers TomZ!
I will report once it is running! If that works I only need a smaller sea water pump pulley and it is getting back into the engine bay. Martin |
How does your coupler attach? Does it attach to the fly wheel bolts or to the fly wheel? If you use the fly wheel bolts to bolt pattern is different from the new style motor to the old style motor. I may have a flywheel for you.
