I guess I will go back to mechanical pump
messed around trying to get better psi now shows 0 psi

Why change a coil and fuel pump because of an overheat caused by a broken belt????

I had low fuel pressure …I checked spark because of sputtering … all my spark plugs look black and burnt up ..so decided to go ahead and change plugs and upgrade coil

I think my mechanical fuel pump got damaged because block got so hot

compression test or leak down..........
agree electric pumps push better than pull...

well reconfigured pump to push more than pull . Now I have 0psi . Think pump already messed up . Bought a mechanical pump to put back in but my rod is stuck ….calling it a day

Rod is stuck? The rod that rides cam lobe and operates mech pump? If so, that would explain low fuel press.

Curious, have any info on the fuel pump such as spec, name, part number? That doesn't look like what I would consider enough to feed the BBC?
