Dan,
I'm not going to get into the war of good gas/bad gas, but that looks like a material failure. Caused by detonation, sticky valve guides, water quenched or what not. I would contact the valve company and see if they would like to look at it for inspection purposes and material analysis.

BTW: This is cool to hear, as you probably found out, no one (privately) has anything like this around. Sure it opened your eyes a lot. Is it possible, it has fooled them some too ? This is round table talk for discussion. Not jabbing.

I did , they said they`ve never seen a part failure like that.. I take that with a grain of salt.
At the end of the day doesn`t really matter . If I ran a 100 miles without issues that weekend , got that crap gas, 10 minutes later boom. make your own conclusions.

Sweet , I`ll add water instead of boostane next time. You just saved me a bunch of money .

I looked at a ton of videos on electronic octane testers and they all seemed to be losers . The only accurate way to test octane rating is a Combustion Fuel Research (CFR) engine (also known as a knock engine).

Of course, already hooked up.
I have a stand alone system but if Im not watching it`s useless as you can see.
I might have it pull a little timing but definitely a warning light once thats dialed in .
