Mercruiser 7.4 serial numbers?
 
Is there place where i could find out the year model with the serial number? B947354. All i can find is that it is 1988-1991, 7.4l

manufactured 12/23/87
registered 5/4/88
couldn't find anything on HP.

Thanks alot! Can you see where it is registered the first time? The engine is now in europe. One site claims it is 7.4 magnum 365hp.

Pull your valve covers and oil pan, those era/model mercury engines have 4 bolt main, forged rotating assemblies, 990 or 188 rectangle port heads, or they don't and it's just a base model engine.
the earlier 80's engines 370 and 420 had crane gold roller rockers, i don't know if those rockers carried over to the 365 mag tho.
i'll try and find some threads and part look up link.
