No reason to IMHO. Maybe if you come down on top of a 4-6 wave and your spine shoots thru your head. :)

Used them for years. We did come down on top of 6 foot waves - repeatedly.
I think they really cleaned up the throttle response when bouncing over rough water. Holey used to make some off-road float bowls, these were standard in them. |

No different adjustment.
Install them. Pull the float adjustment plugs. Adjust normally. Reinstall the bowl plugs. Enjoy. I think think they are great on a hard-hammering boat. |
Sorry to revive slightly old thread.... But the spring keeps the needle closed more consistently?
