v8 quad cam vs v10 quad cam?
Hello everyone ,, I have a garage in Italy and I am new to the group .. I build many billet parts for engines including fresh water exchangers for mercury 1075 and the like .. my client wants me to build a v 10 quad cam billet 732 cubic inch twin turbo .. not to take the v8 mercury 1350 as he already has the merlin 4 quad rotor 4.0 1550 hp. he would like a 1800 hp fuel pump. if I venture into this enterprise regardless of initial design problems, do you think such an engine can have the market? thank you

It would be a lot easier to use 5.3” bore space V8 stuff that the mountain motor drag racers in the US use. Those can go over 1000ci. You would have blocks, heads, cranks, rods, valves and rockers already designed for you. Then you can design the cam, pistons, exhaust, and intake manifold (if you still want forced induction) and marinize it. Even that would be no small feat. |
