water Pressure

How much water pressure is to much? at 90 mph i have 35 PSI that's about where it maxes out at . Motors did not have thermostats and water pressure was around 10 PSI . I added stats and now its 35-38 psi .

What engines?

My 502s seeped water out the sides… I was seeing 30 lbs at cruise speed/laying the needle on the stop all out (above 35 lbs).

You might want to bleed some pressure off. 20 lbs is more than enough.

Curious as to why you went back to stats?

Under 30psi, if you are in there controlling things shoot for no more than 25psi ???

I’d venture to say NA 580’s. There’s a few good threads on cooling and dumping water etc. In fact I even started one a couple years ago + - Some good info that I grabbed and went with.

I might have been on that thread. I had a thread showing the damage done to my blocks from the overpressure. I never got a chance to plumb my pressure regulators to see what the benefits may have been (and with closed cooling I won't need them now) but I do know they were a mess to clean up when I was prepping the blocks for the machine shop trip.
