Crane roller rockers

Anybody know if the rollers are available. I sold the set I had recently and wasn’t aware a few of the tips were scuffed up and wanted to replace them with good used or new if possible.

tks

The tips really don't roll. Can they be cleaned up a little with some 400-600 grit and a little bit of a discount given to the purchaser? I've cleaned up plenty without any issues.

I have two sets of 1.7’s used I am selling. When I had engines torn apart my engine builder had no issues with reusing them. I have them listed for $225 a set, would do $420 shipped on all of them.

I've had rockers that appeared the same and cleaned up well with 400 and WD40 as a lubricant. Steel wool works too.

It was more like a contamination of the material vs an actual issue with the metal itself. I've had this situation on Comp, Crane, Crower, HS, Scorpion, etc. rockers that have sat for a time after teardown. I'm not saying go crazy with the sanding - just enough to remove the material. If they're gouged/pitted, the roller tips really should be replaced.

I'd try cleaning them up some and see what you get. Others may say replace, but this has worked for me without any issues.

Thanks Tom - they’d been in a box for some time now unopened other than for the few pics I took. Sold them on FB marketplace, shipped and got word from the buyer. I just wanna make it right. Wish I had them in front of me but I don’t.

I hear ya.... not a fan of these situations.

Pass on the info and see if you can refund a little money to make it right.

I already told the guy I’m game for whatever. I’ll check to see if it’s purely cosmetic and can be polished out then he’ll be happy. I should’ve looked at all of them before shipping. I have seen NOS look the same resulting in what Tom said. But yeah I told him I’d refund worse case and I honestly don’t care. He knows I bit it on priority shipping to WA and knows it was an oversight which it was. He’s cool I just thought I’d see if there was replacements available. I was gonna purchase and ship is so.

What little that was left of crane outside of motorcycle stuff, was absorbed by comp cams. Worth a call maybe ?
