Bravo One in gear out of the water on hose.?
Is there any problem with turning in gear a Bravo One when running off a hose flush?
Is the fact that there is no water resistance against the prop a potential cause of damage due to spinning it free? I was wondering if after a gear lube change , you could spin the gears for just a bit? Just wondering... Thanks |
no problem shifting the drive while running on the hose, forward or reverse

Should be fine without the prop and usually ok with the prop. Sometimes, the combination of a heavy prop can make it "chatter" at low rpm as the cone clutch engages/disengages rapidly.

Just give it about 5 seconds in neutral to let the prop stop spinning when shifting from forward to reverse or vice versa.

I verify FNR every spring on both drives on land before hauling it to the marina. Would much rather know at home something is broke, well before it's in the water.
