Helpful tool to get at side mount nuts
I copied this from another site, I think i am gonna get one because my engines are so close together I cant get at the center ones with the manifolds on.
"Are you having trouble adjusting the engine alignment nut because your open end wrench won't swing in that confined space? If so I finally found what I have been looking for. It is a 1 1/8" crowfoot wrench. Narrow enough to fit in between the engine mount and base and can then attach different types of extensions and swivels on your ratchet. Made the job a breeze this year. Only comes in 1/2 drive but you can get a 3/8 to 1/2 adapter if most of your stuff is 3/8 drive. Then again for $30 Ill make my own.:D

I have a set of Craftsman crowfoot wrenches, but not up to 1 1/8". Don't know if they go that big from Sears.
Aurgh, Aurgh, Aurgh ;) Like you said, you can be a combo wrench, cut off one end and weld an extension on it to make your own. Use a 3/4" extension, That way it can be good-n-tight! :D |
I just cut the wrench in half. It fits now!
