Gen V, Gen VI cams and timing chains- Will it fit stock cover?
I researched best I could but still unsure. Trying not to buy and have more no-fit parts and have to send them back. For easier reading I'll refer to them as 4,5,6.
I have a Gen 6 blocks and the cam company sent me a Gen 5 cams. I called and they said to just use a cam button instead of sending them back.
So now I would use the Mark 4 & Gen 5 timing chain, correct? From what I read the Gen 6 cam's bolt pattern is different.
Will a Gen 5 chain fit under the stock Gen 6 cast cover? I read of a slight clearance issue with a double roller when using the Gen 6 cam and Rollmaster IWIS chain. Gen VI Timing Set
Might be easier to send them back and get the Gen 6 cams.
Thanks

Why go thru the cam button crap if you don’t have to ?
