Engine pulleys

Are the mercruiser pulleys mostly the same as the chevy truck pulleys? I want to replace my pulleys on my sbc and was wondering if there was a differance.

Thanks

From what I see, some the same some are different. All the pulleys on cars if you look long enough will match up just fine. The only problem that I see is figureing out what car it would be.

Look at the pulley very close and you will see a part # stamped in. Sometimes you can order the numbers at a GM parts dept.

Traviss-the people at March Performance are close to you and they're pretty good. Give them a try.

I have a smaller pulley on my Re-circulating pump that had come off of a 7.4/330. It has been suggested I should change to a larger pulley because I'm always running 5000+ rpm.
I wouldn't imagine it would be any significant power increase, but would it really matter to the life of the pump??
