how do you check the oil or fill these old style trim and drive pumps

Right under the wires going into the motor there`s a dipstick, it should be a flat head screw driver slot but yours looks a bit mangled .

Get a LARGE syringe from the drug store add some clear tubing to the end and you have a no mess easy filling tool.
