Pulling staggered engines

Hey guys,

I have to pull my motors out and was contemplating doing it myself. The motors are 700s. I previously did it on my old side by side boat and it was tough tough work which I really don’t want to do again.

my question is, how long should it take to pull the motors given they are a staggered set up vs side by side.

if it’s too much I’ll get the shop to do it but really don’t want to be paying all that money for something that I can do.

thanks

Depending on the boat and what you are using to pull the engines a staggered configuration might be easier than a side by side, we use a skid steer with long forks that we can pick both engines from the same side, what is the boat ?

As far as time hard to tell, are you also pulling the drives, id think with a couple good wrenches helping you 4 to 5 hrs ? to get them out...........where are you located there might be some OSO'rs to lend a hand

i am overseas.

when I look at the work it doesn’t look too bad. The shop wants to charge me 2k to remove and install which I think is ridiculous

we got so good at pulling motors…we could have them out in 2 hours on a side by side top gun.

I assume staggered would be easier.
