Hey everyone,

I apologize for asking this but in my area there are no qualified marine mechanics which I trust on my boat and I am learning as I go along

i have a donzi 38zr with 700sci that I am completely refurbishing.

my mechanic removed the engine and now I will remove the hoses, electrical etc.. to redo the engine bay and rerig the boat

in the engine bay I found two fittings on the transom above the assembley and couldn’t chase the hose to its source. I have attached a picture for reference.

In your picture it looks like the port side fitting still has its hose on, you can't chase that back to its origin?

Just guessing here, but might that be a water dump if you've got dry exhaust? Perhaps off the intercooler?

exhaust are cmi. All the hoses and wires are such a mess it’s made it so difficult to trace it back to its origin

Doesn't matter what brand the exhaust is, it can be converted to dry and the water dumped overboard via separate plumbing, rather than mixing with the exhaust gases prior to leaving the tailpipes.

Most likely its a dump for excess water pressure
