Stepped Hull Prop rotation IN vs OUT

So I've read the older threads on here. So for the people who have switched from In to Out

are you glad you did so?

Did you lose much top speed?

Did affect coming on plane?

anything else you can add?

I have a 38 fever with 28p 5 blade merc maximus spinning in to me the boat is not very docker friendly i can do it might take a extra approach or try.
So I'm wondering would it be worth it to switch the props?

I've gathered since i have bravo drives its pretty simple to try out. just swap and use sticks in reverse.

What does it take to get the sticks to work like they should instead of backwards? Ive read where that its as easy as switching them at the dash. But not sure thats good information or if its as easy as it sounds.

Thanks for your time

Trim the drives positive when docking, it helps direct
thrust underneath
the boat rather than a portion of it being tossed up against the transom ( on the drive that
is operating at in reverse)

It’s still not as good as out, I would try it 1st and see if you can get use to it

I have to think about that boat was dialed in, the only thing you’re going to
gain by changing it it docking maneuverability, you probably will give up something in the speed and handling department by switching

Rotation is changed at the shifter

As far as switching a the dash, it means moving the cable placement on the shifter handle from front to back or vice versa. Remove the screws holding the shifter down and lift it up, then you will see the connections. Less than a 30 minute job even taking your time.
