Had an extra K&N HP3002 filter so I thought I would see what they look like inside before running.
The base plate is super thick, heavy duty for sure.

I believe that's the first K&N I've saw cut open. Always had good luck with them in the past.

Wix is pretty beefy also but K&N is better at flow rate and filtration .
