Blown BBC cooling lines from rear of intake
 

Can anyone help. Running about 1100hp with 532 blower motor. What is best practice for running lines from the back of the intake manifold to the water neck. Is this something most people do, or a waste of time.

Not saying it's the right way, we just run one from each side to a dump pipe in the transom.

I have closed cooling with a heat exchanger so thats not going t work. But for raw water cooling it would be really good, It would increase the flow through the engine

I run one each side -4 to a Y an fitting and out the side of the boat.......

Edit: never mind I now see you're stating closed cooling

My understanding on the subject and why I did it on mine(raw water cooled) is that it prevents steam pockets from forming around the rear cylinders....that being said...being pressurized closed cooling do you need to worry about said steam pockets? I'm also wondering if you will get weird flow characteristics by adding them to the system as in a different available flow path and may possibly cause an issue?

Not too up on closed cooling so I may be way off base but those are my thoughts for what they're worth lol

Before t stat on closed cooling. You can run to frt ports on intake manifold on use a spacer under tstst housing. The spacer would have a tapped hole on either side..
