BBC oil pan!

what's the best oil pan for larger cubic inch 500" + marine engines and why? Thanks!

The "best" pan iIn terms of ultimate performance), that would be a dry sump with external multiple stage pump.A "good" pan if a single would be a Hardin 14 qt offshore thats chocked full of features. If you only have 500,600 hp, anybodys 10 or 12 qt that has windage tray, side pouch, trap door would be fine too

Just happened to meet up with my engine builder today and he wants to get a Canton 10 qt for my 502.

Said it's got the windage tray like Artic mentioned. Made the comment that the factory pan was wide open and oil would slosh around.
