Hose from fuel pump to flame arrestor
Couple more questions about the vent lines and fuel pump hose to the flame arrestor. They seem simple and "no brainers" but when dealing with the coast guard and sheriff I want it to be correct. I am doing my best to keep the engines clean looking so with that in mind, can I run both valve cover vents to the rear of the arrestor right next to each other? Stock set up is 180 degrees from each other but I don't see the need for that. Also stock is bolted to the top of the arrestor I would like to fasten to the bottom of the arrestor. The second question is about that clear hose from the fuel pump. With the stock carbs it ran to a connection point on the carb itself. My new ones don't work that way so in another tread I was told the clear hose could be run through the top of the flame arrestor? I think a "bulkhead" type fitting with a 1/4" barbed fitting is what I want? Can it be at the outside edge or do they want to see more towards the center? What are you guys doing and would you post a pic for me please. Thanks

I use this (tygon) for the fuel pump to flame arrestor hose:
Like your thinking, I use a 1/4” nipple (with 1/8” pipe thread) into base of k&n flame arrestors instead of their crappy one aimed at thier arrestor / filter media.i may have pics here somewhere ? ? |
