Hello All,

Just got my 2002 Formula 330SS out of storage and getting ready for the season. While doing my routine oil changed today I noticed my motors sounded a bit weird with different problems. One seems to be making a weird thumbing sound coming from the air intake? And on the other side it seems that there is some sort of electronic noise that’s constant (Fuel pump?). Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have attached 2 links to videos showing the problems. TIA

Never heard anything like before in the first vid

Second one sounds maybe like sucking air from maybe the IAC

IAC muffler is probably gone/disintegrated

1st video hard to pinpoint. Does sound follow rpms? I would remove serpentine belt and check pulleys. Run it for a few secs with no belt on to see if it goes away.

2nd vid Sounds like IAC valve opening/closing. Is it hunting for idle speed or steady? The IAC muffler in the TB was added by Merc to quiet the IAC noise. It was SN applicable for the muffler. Something's wrong as the IAC should not be opening/closing like that at idle.
