Source for Delco D1965A Module?
I need a good source for the marine ignition control module used in the Delco Voyager/Merc MPI small cap distributors. My worry is that whatever I get will not have the advance curve programmed into it.
Thanks! -Tom |
I believe the OEM ones are NLA. Davis makes a replacement that seemed to work fine for me in my 502s.

Thanks! I sent them a message to see if they have any information available for the timing curve.

Good question. I used to get from acdelco thru amazon. Those worked as designed .Now, it’s a 3rd seller thru anazon and those reviews not so good.
I did a quick search as it seams most non amazon delco places out if stock. I did find this Sierra one thru Amazon that has good reviews on the advance working correctly. Read reviews for yourself: |

Ive used both the accel module and DUI module in MANY small cap engines and they work as good as the oem mercruiser that ends in 99 (the good one). I would not sweat over getting a genuine mercruiser one. Now, the standard, duralast and all other house brand ones from auto parts stores are absolutely garbage and overheat at any kind of extended rpms, burn out, break up, etc.

(instead, pointed me toward their marine-spec distributor).
