Merc dual cooler bellhousing in salt water

I've got the Mercruiser dual bellhousing cooler system. Looking to see how they last in salt water, and what I can do to for coatings and prevent the salt water erosion etc.

Is there zinc plug holes?

I've got them setup for both sides cooling engine oil.
