HD Hub Kit 1.25 Prop Shaft?

I see a couple variations for this application and was just wondering if this would be correct for my Imco shorty 1.25. Thanks

Thanks Brother. Any idea why some have three washers and one nut as compared to this one with two nuts and a washer? Is one just an updated version? Curious.

Honestly I didnt pay attention to the 2 nuts in the package. You are correct the should be 2 heavy washers, 1 crush washer and 1 nut. Alot of time when you see these used the crush washer is long gone, which really doesn't affect anything. The part number is correct though. I have about 8 of these extra that I am going to sell now that my prop shafts are 1 7/16.

Deep, Bencini,

For my ever-increasing knowledge base....

Is there anything "sacrificial" about that? Or is it just for when you've abandoned saving the outdrive/propshaft in lieu of performance, and accepted the potential for damage to the outdrive/propshaft?

Thanks. Brad.

Damn, the one in the pic is on the way from Kansas City, MO and was a deal for a new Merc part. I couldn't pass on it.

Brad, I ran the 1" set up behind a blue HP500 for 15 years with not so much as a dinged prop ever. High x on my cat and prop shaft soon to be 2" higher. That being said, I believe the rubber strips are designed to be the weak point in case of an underwater strike.

I guess I'll find out in a few days. So I take it you have the double nut version.
