aluminum head and head gasket info needed

When running a aluminum head is there a specifc head gasket your suppose to use? A specific material?

Or can I just use the same style( rubber coated steel shim) I used with my iron heads.

Thanks

Ok, had to try out a new icon..........

Every one of the manufacturers of head gaskets has recommedations.

Here's an example:

This is a list of gaskets from ROL

thanks guys. I didn't research before I posted, but PAW catalog listed most felpro head gaskets. They listed everything I needed to know and said if they worked with aluminum heads.

Thanks again bros

ITS BY FAR BETTER TO USE NEW BOLTS BUT IF YOU CLEAN THREADS AND THE BOLT STILL STRECHS WHEN YOU TOURQE IT,, IT WILL WORK ,BUT DAMN WHY GAMBLE ?? DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND DON'T AS THEY SAID (LOOK BACK) !!!
FEL-PRO HAS KILLER GASKETS MADE FOR ALUIM HEADS AND IT DOES TAKE A SPECIAL GASKET :D :D

have your machine shop cut receiver grooves in your head and run a 1012 felpro headgasket. they will take a lot of boost and i have used them since they came out with no problems:D
