aluminum head and head gasket info needed
When running a aluminum head is there a specifc head gasket your suppose to use? A specific material?
Or can I just use the same style( rubber coated steel shim) I used with my iron heads. Thanks Travis |
Ok, had to try out a new icon..........
Every one of the manufacturers of head gaskets has recommedations. Here's an example: http://www.rolmfg.com/Technical/Performance/HG_Tech.htm This is a list of gaskets from ROL |

Are ARP's head bolts ok for reuse? Got a pile of them and don't want to buy new unnecessarily. BT  |
thanks guys. I didn't research before I posted, but PAW catalog listed most felpro head gaskets. They listed everything I needed to know and said if they worked with aluminum heads.
Thanks again bros Travis |

have your machine shop cut receiver grooves in your head and run a 1012 felpro headgasket. they will take a lot of boost and i have used them since they came out with no problems:D
