Intake cooler line bypass
Hi guys quick question here...
Engine is a 580 cid 4.500 Stroke 4.530 Bore 726/723 torque /HP and I did monitor water temp back of the intake and front. That did scared the **** out of me. Front was 160 all the the way with a HP 160 T-Stat. when monitor the back of the intake was running 220-230... That is hot as F*ck. Did anyone ever encounter that problem and ran Cooler line bypass from rear to front of the intake to solve the problem and will it kill the water flow in the heads???? |
I run - 4 dumps off the rear of the intake overboard.......

Many run the water lines in decent hp big blocks. Some back to tstat area, some like speedy- overboard,
The bravo water pump system move serious amt’s of water. 120f and 140f tstats are common here. Some don't run any. |

Yep these were my thought too. I am running cross-over bypass instead of circ pump and I always thought the water circulation could be a problem but now I have the proof and it is damn Scary. The sea pump is moving a lot of water I have between 14 to 20 psi water in block on the RPM range. I'll try the lines back to front after I monitor the temps on my friend engines if temps are more equals or I'll dump the water from the back if not optimal. Thanks
