Trailer Repair Chicagoland Area

I hit a curb on Father’s Day weekend with the front right tire. Since then I’ve shucked three tires off the front axle (shearing the studs off). I had it repaired once already and thought it was good to go. I drove to LOTO for the Shootout and sheared

the front right on the way there and the front left on the way back. Not a great experience towing. Anyone recommend a boat trailer repair shop in the Chicagoland area? I’m assuming the axle needs to be replaced.

Ive had good luck in the past with these guys: https://spring-align.com/
give them a call and talk to them to see if they would do it.

SecondWind,

Looks like a Heritage. Might give them a call. I've not needed any major repair work done, but they've helped me out a few times.

My guess is you've knocked the axle, as a whole, out of alignment, and now the non-conformant axel is putting stress on the studs that accumulates to the point of sheer. Might just be a realignment that's in order.

Thanks. Brad.

I too would recommend Spring align.
