I got pretty much everything that dresses the block. Shorter list of what I don't have then what I have !

I have:
  • serpentine belt
  • raw water pump (complete)
  • circulating water pump
  • alternator
  • power steering pump
  • several feet of various wire gauges
  • spare fluids for outdrive, trim tabs, engine
  • spare bilge pump with quick-connect wires
  • spare prop, hub, fasteners

Not really pretty solid piece if maintained properly...........you might carry a cap, rotor, ignition module, plugs and a set of wires

fastlane40 01-04-2025 04:28 PM

Okay will add those.
Not real keen on single engine offshore boating.
Guess lots of people do it though.

I've burned through a few idler pulleys on mpi's...

F-2 Speedy 01-04-2025 04:36 PM

if you're running in salt air salt water cap corrosion might be an issue, and serp or V belts as mentioned above

In red for just an inland lake?
I applaud you.

A Rinda TechMate is needed to properly diagnose issues with these things. Without and you’re shooting in the dark. I’d want to have one of these and spare raw water pump parts on-board if it were mine.

Nothing they are very stout and run 2k+ hours without issue. The only failure I've had on the water was a cheap stainless steel hose clamp, replaced all with Awab clamps which are much stronger than T-bolts. Second engine got me home without issue, that's what they're for and BoatUS for $180 a year is a no brainer.

Nothing, drive oil maybe, that is the only alarm that rings with any regularity.

I’m on typical fresh water lake (non great lake) Maybe a spare belt and decent wire cutters/stripers/crimpers with basic crimp connectors. Basic amt of tools.

2 batteries for 1 engine boat. 3 batteries for 2 engine boat.

Good anchor with lots of rope and correct amt of chain.

F-2 Speedy 03-08-2025 05:24 PM

20 ft tow rope

SB 03-08-2025 05:41 PM

I prefer near ski rope length, so say 75 ft :)
