Battery Jump Starters for Marine

Tried doing a search on here but didn't find anything.

Looking to see what options I have for Battery Jump Starters that have been successful in the Marine environment. Brands and models etc.

Lithium vs AGM?l packs?

For BBCs.

Thanks

Try NOCO 3,000 amp. Sometimes you can find them on sale.

I've bought two NOCO batteries recently for small engines. I've been impressed with how well they hold a charge. I'd buy their jumpstarter if I was shopping.

I use my 2nd battery thru a perko switch. :)

Here's one I've had for years and it's still going. Use it mostly to start a Camaro garage queen (383 with 10.25 compression). Throw it under the bench seat when going to the lake.

I carry a GOOLOO 4000 with me, will start just about anything, including small diesels

As good as NOCO? probly not. Project Farm on YouTube has a great review of 15 or so of them

I have been using a Weego 70 for a number of years. Works well and seems to hold a charge forever. I have one in each vehicle and throw one in the boat at the beginning of the season. Also is a flashlight and cell phone charger.

That`s interesting , I`ve never needed, owned or used one.

I will Second, Third and Forth on the NOCO 3000. Always have a story, my older son "borrowed" my Tacklife 2000 amp jump starter. As usual never returned it after a year. Got on him this fall and got a NOCO 3000 for Christmas. It is a nice unit small and powerful. Said it will start a 9 liter Diesel in the instructions. Has no issues starting any 8V engine I have connected it to.

By the way the wife uses the other Tacklife 2000, I still have, to charge her iPhone all the time. Works great for that to. In a boat or just outdoors these things work well for charging phones, flashlights, etc. and stuff that goes dead often and forgotten to be plug in overnight.

Yeah, a twin engine system is better for hard starting issue creating a low batt problem.

I'm planning to boat a little more remote, and wanted some extra protecrion. I'll also lug along the 2K Honda, but that creates it's own issues of space etc.

I've never had a portable jumper...but it seems they're powerfull enough now to help out on the bigger engines.
