That is a UNDERSTATEMENT!
Yup. 8AN to 1/2" Pushlock barb 90°, for example: EvilEnergy (black anodized aluminum) from Amazon, $15 shipped. Polished stainless from Teague, $37, plus shipping. It ain't HORRIBLE, but you sure gotta want it. Thanks. Brad. |

I've been hoping to avoid resorting to the aluminum options. Beyond the corrosion concern, I just hate how easily the threads tend to gall, when taking them apart and putting them back together during maintenance, and I don't like how cheap/weak they feel. Since all the online stores have been picked clean of the common sizes of Earl's fittings, I thought maybe I could hunt down all the fittings I need from private sellers, but there are a couple specific sizes and angles that have eluded me. |
I just wanted to follow up, in case anybody else is interested. I reached out to Teague and they confirmed that they have straight and 90-degree reusable hose ends in the -16 and -20 AN sizes, and they're also planning to have 45-degree hose ends, but -16 and -20 are the only sizes available, which have to be used with Eaton Aeroquip 1503 hose. In the -4 to -12 AN range, they only have the push-lock style fittings and those are only available in straight, 45-degree, and 90-degree options. There's no 180-degree option available. So, there's not an option for a complete replacement to the Earl's Auto-Fit line through Teague.

Just a heads up, when I needed stainless ends & fittings, I ended up finding everything at a local Parker store.
